Arbinet-thexchange and Nortel Networks Commission DMS-GSP Switch in First Web-Controlled Dynamic Switching Application
NEW YORK – August 09, 2000 – Arbinet-thexchange, the full service trading solution for buyers and sellers of telephony bandwidth,
today announced that thexchange has installed and cut over the routing and switching of members’ traffic to the Nortel DMS-Global Services
Platform (GSP), located in thexchange’s 75 Broad St. facility in New York, NY. This fully scalable, carrier-grade international gateway
switch is the core component of thexchange’s Global Delivery Platform, which physically routes and delivers all telephony traffic traded
by Members. This deployment is the first that automatically loads this class of carrier-grade switching equipment with routing information generated from
an online exchange engine.
