Shawn. F. O’Donnell
President and Chief Executive Officer

Shawn F. O’Donnell is President and Chief Executive Officer of Arbinet and has been a member of the Arbinet Board of Directors since 2007.

Shawn has more than 20 years of strategic and operational management experience in technology firms in the telecom, cable, and call center industries. Prior to joining Arbinet, Shawn was Senior Director at management and operational consulting firm, CXO. Before CXO, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Capital and Technology Advisors, a consulting firm specializing in telecommunications and technology. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Network Services and Systems at PathNet Telecommunications, Inc. and held various leadership positions at MCI Telecommunications Corporation. Shawn received a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science, Electrical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic University.

Gary G. Brandt
Chief Financial Officer

Gary G. Brandt is responsible for overseeing Arbinet’s financial management and helping to shape and drive the company’s business strategy.

Gary brings to Arbinet 30 years of financial, technology, and telecommunications. He has expertise in strategic planning, investor relations, restructuring and cost reduction, mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Before joining Arbinet, Gary served as CEO of Solomon Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded power supply and electric drive technology company. He was Vice President, Corporate Development at SatCon Technology Corporation and Chief Financial Officer of Hydrogenics Corporation, both publicly traded renewable energy companies. For the first 20 years of his career, he served in numerous financial capacities, first with PWC and then in the telecommunications industry with increasing levels of responsibility for Nortel and MCI. Gary has an MBA from York University in Toronto, Ontario and a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.

Christie A. Hill
General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Human Resources Officer

Christie A. Hill manages the legal and regulatory affairs and human resources function of the company.

Christie brings nearly 25 years of legal and corporate governance experience to Arbinet. Prior to joining the company, she served at the U.S. Department of Treasury. From 1998 until 2008, Ms. Hill worked at Nextel Communications and then at Sprint Nextel Corporation, where she held various leadership positions in the company’s legal and governance organizations, including her most recent position as Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Chief Ethics Officer. Prior to Nextel, she served as counsel at Honda of America Mfg. where her responsibilities included a variety of corporate and transactional matters. Christie began her career at Jones Day in the firm’s mergers and acquisitions group. She received her Juris Doctor from the Ohio State University College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the Ohio State University.

Brian Troesch
Sr. Vice President, Global Sales, Marketing & Product Development

Since June 2010, Brian has served as the Sr. Vice President, Global Sales, Marketing & Product Development. Previously Brian held the position of Sr. Vice President, Product & Business Development at Arbinet and has been responsible for guiding Arbinet’s Voice and Mobile product direction. Brian brings to Arbinet more than 14 years of management experience in sales, network and product development in fixed and mobile telecommunications. Before joining Arbinet he served as Regional Vice President, Americas for Belgacom ICS, S.A. While at Belgacom ICS, Brian managed strategy and sales for the Americas Region, providing voice and data solutions to fixed and mobile operators. Brian previously held various positions at Edge2Net, Inc., BellSouth Long Distance, Inc., Pacific Gateway Exchange, Inc. and U.S. Long Distance, Inc.

William Carter
Sr. Vice President Engineering, Development and Global Operations

William Carter oversees Arbinet’s Development, Engineering, Global Operations and IT organizations. He is responsible for cost management, network integrity and driving evolution strategies of new products and services.

William brings more than 20 years of management and technical industry experience with expertise in designing and supporting networks throughout the US, Europe and Asia, executing Major Network build outs and migrations, architecting unique Customer Solutions, and supporting International Network Management Centers. Prior to joining Arbinet, William was Senior Vice President, Operations for Premiere Technologies in Atlanta, GA. While at Premiere Technologies, William had Capital and Operating budgetary accountability, while implementing network cost reduction programs that yielded annual savings totaling more than $23M. William previously held positions of increasing responsibility with MCI and Cable & Wireless, USA. These roles have enabled him to operate effectively in Business Development, Strategic and Financial Planning, Network System Integrations and Network Operations.
